Suddenly the inspiration hits - usually when I am out and about or travelling the world.

A detail, an atmosphere or a natural composition of shapes and patterns hits me, and I press the shutter.

Very occasionally I indulge in experimental photography. The pinhole image of the National Gallery was taken using an ancient biscuit tin sat on a fountain wall. A cardboard “shutter” was removed for a count of 30 seconds.
