“It all starts with sketchbooks - I nearly always have one with me. It is the process of drawing that I enjoy rather than feeling I have to produce a finished masterpiece each time. This process of observing and recording what I see also fixes the scene, object or face in my memory.”
Back in the studio some of these sketches and ideas occasionally get worked up into pictures using a variety of media.
